Anxiety & Depression Counselling in Worcester CBT, BWRT, EMDR & Emotional Support

Specialist Support for Trauma, PTSD & Complex PTSD
I have trained extensively in working with trauma, with a particular focus on Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Complex PTSD. I understand how overwhelming and isolating trauma can feel, and I’m here to offer a supportive, non-judgmental space where healing can begin.

Trauma can result from a single distressing event or repeated, prolonged exposure to difficult experiences — and it often affects how we think, feel, and relate to the world around us. Whether you’re experiencing flashbacks, anxiety, emotional numbness, or a sense of disconnection, know that these responses are valid and treatable.

To support your recovery, I use a range of evidence-based approaches including:

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) – particularly effective for processing traumatic memories

  • CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) – to help reframe unhelpful thought patterns

  • EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) – combining elements of exposure and somatic work to reduce emotional distress

  • BWRT (BrainWorking Recursive Therapy) – a rapid and effective method for changing the way the brain processes past events

Together, we’ll work at your pace to gently explore and release the impact of trauma, helping you regain a sense of safety, confidence, and control.

Anxiety Counselling Worcester

Anxiety & Depression Counselling in Worcester CBT, BWRT, EMDR & Emotional Support

Anxiety & Depression Counselling in Worcester CBT, BWRT, EMDR & Emotional Support

Support for Depression & Anxiety
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common — yet often most challenging — emotional experiences we face. They can impact every aspect of life, from your relationships and energy levels to your sense of purpose and joy.

Through counselling, I can help you reconnect with a sense of balance, motivation, and clarity. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply not yourself, you're not alone — and support is here.

I use a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to your unique needs, including:

  • CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) – to identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) – particularly effective for processing distressing or overwhelming experiences

  • EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) – to calm emotional distress and support emotional regulation

  • BWRT (BrainWorking Recursive Therapy) – for creating fast, lasting change at a deeper, subconscious level

I also offer short-term, focused support for social anxiety, working with both teens and adults to build confidence and comfort in social situations.

Specific areas of interest include:

  • Illness Anxiety – persistent worry about health

  • Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) – chronic and excessive worry across various aspects of daily life

Together, we can work at your pace to explore your experiences, build emotional resilience, and support you in feeling more grounded, empowered, and hopeful about the future.

Therapy for Low Self-Esteem Rebuilding Confidence & Challenging Core Beliefs

Building Self-Esteem & Challenging Core Beliefs
I have worked extensively with self-esteem issues in both teenagers and adults, helping individuals develop a healthier, more compassionate relationship with themselves.

Low self-esteem often stems from deep-rooted core beliefs — the underlying messages we hold about ourselves, such as “I’m not good enough” or “I always fail.” These beliefs can shape the way we think, feel, and act, often holding us back from reaching our full potential.

In our work together, we gently explore these patterns and begin to challenge them. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to identify and reframe unhelpful thinking, along with Logotherapy, which focuses on finding meaning and purpose, even in the midst of difficulty. This combination has proven highly effective in helping individuals rediscover their self-worth and confidence.

Whether you're struggling with negative self-talk, perfectionism, people-pleasing, or a lack of direction, we’ll work together to rebuild a stronger sense of self — one that’s grounded in self-acceptance, resilience, and clarity.

Couples counselling in Worcester

Couples Counselling in Worcester Gottman Method & Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Counselling can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection.  This can help when the relationship is dysfunctional and on the point of dissolution or when the relationship is functional but unrewarding or in some other way unhappy.

All couples fight from time to time. In fact, arguing and disagreements are a natural part of any relationship. However, when those quarrels are left unresolved and hurtful words are exchanged, the relationship can suffer and it can cause a rift between you and your partner.   To resolve issues as such, its sometimes worth getting an impartial, outside party to help with communication.  Couples counselling, conducted by a professional, is the most effective way of doing this, and many couples can see results after just one session.

I understand that a practical approach towards marriage and relationship counselling is the best way to foster deeper communication, solve conflict and reconnect romantically. I am trained to help you as a couple, work through your difficulties and grow better ways of communicating and responding towards each other’s needs. I am trained in Level 1 and Level 2 Gottman Therap as well as Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). This therapy is based on 45 years of research and uses a scientific approach to establish effective communication, shared meaning and conflict management.

The method can be applied to many relationship problems but may be particularly useful for couples who are:

  • Stuck in chronic conflict
  • Coping with infidelity
  • Struggling with communication
  • In a stagnant relationship or emotionally distanced
  • Facing difficulties over specific issues, such as money, parenting, or sex

All Gottman Method therapy is based on a couple’s patterns of interacting, and partners learn and implement relationship-building and problem-solving skills together..
